Q. How would you best describe your style of artwork?

PG24_Copy_39a300c0-f1e5-466c-b30e-3224be3e93e5_grande

A. My style of work is more of a reflection of who I am. A mix of graphic design and animation maybe?

Q. What tools do you use for your artwork?

PG22_Copy_4f1b259b-7b6a-44d4-a026-0529b1eac116_grande

A. I actually do them all by hand on paper. My materials vary from pencils, paints, to pens.

Q. Personal view and market trend sometimes differ from each other. Do you use personal interpretation like the art that satisfy your senses or you like to do work according to the market trends?

PG21_Copy_90820378-9874-4b7a-b00a-d7cf3ffebefc_grande

A. Commercial art is not something I can ever do so I choose to work with things i love and I can relate to.

Q. What is your design process like; from where do you start your artwork?

PG20_Copy_9ac56656-5b5a-41db-82dd-2aadb1c102a4_grande

A. Well unlike a lot of artists/designers, I don’t actually sit and brainstorm or work out exactly what it is I want to do. I just pull out a sheet of paper and go with the flow.

Q. How did you get into graphic design / illustration?

PG19_Copy_3f224e74-9bd9-4d94-9eab-a9dc15e72d33_grande

A. This is just something I love doing and I have been ever since I was small.

Q. What do you do when not working?

PG18_Copy_cb98cb9a-ac80-4384-9b43-a7b4f2e7c8db_grande

A. When not working I prepare for college as that’s in a few months from now.

Q. What keeps you inspired?

PG27_Copy_e43fc374-295c-4f4d-9c0e-16e1541e1a05_grande

A. Family, friends, and myself.

Q. Do you remember the moment when the idea of becoming an artist struck you?

PG26_Copy_0b826a36-83bd-4867-af31-72c7822e4b0d_grande

A. I don’t remember an exact moment as such. I’ve wanted to be an artist ever since I could hold a pencil

Q. Do you have any advice for young designers?

PG25_Copy_72a3ae53-1e44-4d38-95db-c90e795e5090_grande

A. Don’t give up. Trust in yourself and your abilities and make it a point to put your work and yourself out there.

1 aspect of design you value the most?

It’s ability to transform ordinary things into something spectacular

1 font you use the most often?

Times New Roman

1 design-related book you would recommend every budding designer?

The Art of Not Making
